Research underway

This week we are looking into the software Bentley generously offered to donate to us. To see what uses we might have in the magnet or in engineering, first we're going to look into what each program is in depth first.

  • Make a powerpoint on software
  • Try and get the kickstarter back up before we leave for break
  • Call Bentley back about our sponsorship levels
  • Look for more potential sponsors to email

Made a connection

This week had been a race just to get our sk2 prototype up and moving. We are moving slowly but surely trying to get this thing mobile. On the finance side of things, we have started with kickstarter and im veryyy close to finishing our indiegogo page. As soon as those go up in the next few days we should be in buisness.

Sunday, September 29, 2013

We have started drawing up our original frame on Solid Works. Adjustments and modifications will be made to accommodate for the different parts we've added.

Earning and Burning

Today I'm blogging because of my absence Monday to speak of our goals for this week's progress. So I owe most of my thanks to Camilo for taking charge of this finance team and setting up a good star for us. Setting up a Kickstarter online and applying for multiple grants has been a step in the right direction so this week we plan to expand what we've done so far. Just getting the word out about our kickstarter as well as making new donation pages online so more people can hear about Solar knight 2 and what we're all about. More grant options couldn't hurt either, so by the end of this week I look towards opening 2 other similar pages to kickstarter and apply for at least 3 grants from each of us.

Time to set up shop on kickstarter, a site made to help out people for projects with small funds. If anyone on kick starter has a taste in science and wants to help fund a solar car. We're here with big smiles and open pockets

Team effort

Oh yeah, and Jason and Emily took 20 minutes to choose a background image for their blog...........*cough*Slackers*cough

From day 1

Blogs up, positions are filled, putting Camilo and I at finance. Giving us our part to this team project in rebuilding the infamous sk2. Electricians, designers, and mechanics all will play a part this year towards the reappearance of Solar Knight 2. So far we have looked into a few grants online and talked over some fundraising ideas to raise some funds to start off with. "Money doesn't grow on trees!""Yeah it does, money is paper dude."
